Nixon, Richard M. -- TLS as President to Senator George Murphy. Typed letter signed with initials, "RN" as President, one page, on White House letterhead, 9 x 6¾", Washington, Dec. 5, 1970. To George Murphy (1902-1992) a former dancer and actor who served as U.S. Senator from California from 1965 to 1971, thanking Murphy "the important contribution you have made toward the cause of good government" and enclosing a book (not present) of Nixon's collected speeches which Nixon thought "might serve to point out the paths this Administration is taking to achieve the goals all of us are seeking…."
