20 Personal, Handwritten Workbooks From NASA Flight Director, Including Interview About Apollo 11. Impressive collection of 20 personal diaries/workbooks from 1987 into the early 90s by a NASA flight director. Compelling reading in the day to day issues confronting a flight director all in his handwriting which convey his near encyclopedic technical knowledge, challenges and solution directors faced daily. Months of entries that intrigue, his observations immediate, precise and clear. An incredible resource during the Shuttle Program during "The Return To Space" period after the Challenger disaster. Also in this lot is a 7 page handwritten outline for an interview regarding his experiences during Apollo 11 with Tom Black of Southern Living Magazine in February, 1999. Finally, two NASA issued photos of the director himself. The handwriting in these 20 notebooks is very easy to read and again makes for fascinating reading. Estimate Value $300 - UP
