Trove of Apollo Materials Including Two Apollo 11 Kapton Foil Pieces, Launch Pad Relics and Beta Cloth Samples. A fine collection of a dozen Apollo related materials. Beginning with Apollo 11 materials are two small swatches of Kapton foil one a flown piece removed from the Command Module "Columbia", the other segment removed just prior to launch during an emergency valve replacement within Eagle's decent stage. Both affixed to separate Coas. Also included is a certificate to a team member with a medallion made from metal from the command module, two presentation pieces of 9 x 8" sections of Owens Corning Beta fiberglass printed with the Apollo 11 insignia in Roma Questral pigments and a copy of NASA Manned Flight Awareness document left on the moon, as well as the letter of thanks from Grumman Aerospace Corp. to a valued employee. Under general Apollo Missions, a Beta cloth segment from ILC Industries used for space suits (with fact sheet/COA), a segment of teflon coated fiberglass lacing used in the Apollo program developed after the Apollo 1 fire, several samples of LM Kapton blanket (with fact sheet/COA) unflown. Finally two pieces of metal removed from Launch Complexes 34 and 39 as well a cut steel pipe and electrical wire segment removed from Launch Complex 39 which was the site of 94 launches Apollo 4,6,8,9 and 11-17 (each with fact sheet/Coas).
