Lot 781

1854 N-18 R3 EF45. Lustrous bluish steel and light olive brown. Very little wear is evident, but the obverse is covered with tiny lint marks caused by debris stuck to the die, and the strike is a bit flat on the lower half of that side. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. The only notable mark is a small carbon spot on the left upright of the N in CENT. LDS, die state c. The die lines down through the E in ONE are gone but the clashmarks remain visible on both sides.
Estimated Value $75-UP.
Ex Tom Reynolds 4/18/2009-Fred Iskra.
