Russian Lacquer Box: Exquisite Hand Painted Lacquer Box of Woman, Lamb and Her Village Along River. Exceptional Russian lacquer box from Fedoskino made of papier mâché, gold leaf, enamel, egg tempera and lacquer. Signed by artist and dated 1987 at lower left of these magnificent and serene art. So much detail to the leaves, blades of grass the lines the patterns in the fabric and the golden glow of the river. Box measures 2½ x 8¼ x 5½". There are two very small areas (chips to lacquer) professionally restored at bottom edge of lid that blend almost without notice otherwise very fine. Estimated Value $600 - UP
