Lot 76

1804 C-10 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. A very attractive mint state half cent that was lightly cleaned long ago and has retoned frosty dark steel and olive with light reddish steel toning in protected areas. A tiny nick across the top of the numerator of the fraction is the best identifying mark, but it is barely visible, even with a strong glass. LDS, Manley state 3.0 early, with faint traces of dentils still showing on the reverse. This is the Manley plate coin for state 3.0, and it comes with a nice provenance. Our grade is MS60 sharpness net AU55. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; 5 finer, 2 in 64, 1 in 64+, 2 in 65 for the variety. Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
