Two Beautiful, Antique Hand Painted Oval Porcelain Plaques: Gainsborough's "The Blue Boy" and "Portrait of a Lady" in Original Elaborate Frames. Two antique hand painted porcelain plaques, tributes to 18th Century Masters. The most recognizable is Gainsborough's "The Blue Boy" exquisitely painted boasting great detail. Under a loop, the craftsmanship is immediately apparent as is the second, "Portrait of a Lady". Both are in hand made brass and wood frames with elaborate foliate designs. The flames each had four tiny pearls as accents, however "Blue" is missing three of four and "Lady" one. Plaques measures 3½ x 2½ and the frames 5 x 4" both with prop stands on verso or loops in case one desires to hang them. Estimated Value $300 - UP
