"America" by Herman Moll, c.1750. "According to ye Newest and most Exact Observations" This map has very "light" feel to it. The paper is moderately bright, the printing is quite crisp and the hand-coloring accents just the outline of the countries. North America is slightly mis-shaped and depicts California as a large island. Museum matted and framed to an overall size of 14 x 17". Miniscule smudges below "Great" (left of center). Fine.
