Folger, William Mayhew. With punch cancellation, and docketing on verso. A very attractive check with a vignette of the bank and ornate gothic type. American Naval Commander who first brought back news of the discovery of Pitcairn Island, immortalized in Nordoff and Hall's Mutiny On The Bounty.

Signed Check. Approximately 6 3/4 x 2 3/4" printed rose-toned check, Washington, DC, November 5, 1900. Drawn on The Riggs National Bank, paid to the order of the New York Club, in the amount of $12.91. Boldly signed on the face, "W.M. Folger." Very Fine.
