A. First Day Cover Signed by Glenn Seaborg. Postmarked Washington, DC, 1963, with a pictorial cachet commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences. Signed by the Nobel chemist in full on face in dark black ink.
B. First Day Cover Signed by Edward Teller, Father of the Atomic Bomb. Large format, 7½ x 4½", postmarked Ottawa, Canada, June 27, 1986, with a commemorative cancellation, and pictorial cachet honoring Canadian contributions to Science and Technology. Signed by Teller in full beneath the attractive cachet.
C. First Day Cover Signed by Eight Lyricists and Composers. Large format, 7½ x 4" cover postmarked New York, NY, September 11, 1996, with an elaborate commemorative cancellation for "The American Music Stamp." Signed on the face by Marvin Hamlisch, Andre Previn, Don Black and Tim Rice, Sandy Wilson, Cleo Lane, John Dankworth, and more.
D. Royal Mail First Day Cover Signed by British Mystery Novelists. Large format, 8½ x 4½" cover with commemorative cancellation, honoring The Queen of Crime Agatha Christie. Signed on the face by John Le Carre, Ruth Rendell, Simon Brett, P.D. James, and the not so mysterious British playwright Tom Stoppard.
