Enola Gay Suite. All items are in fine condition and boldly signed in full. (1915-). Pilot of the Enola Gay.

Signed Statement On The Morality of Dropping the Bomb by Paul Tibbets with Two Signed Photographs. Printed Statement on the morality of dropping the first atomic bomb, One page, Quarto, on yellow poster stock, n.d. Entitled, "General Paul Tibbets [sic] Reflections On Hiroshima," the document reads, in full:

"…the morality of dropping the bomb was not my business. I was instructed to perform a military mission…and that was the thing I was going to do to the best of my ability. Paul W. Tibbets Brig. Gen., USAF (Ret.)"

Also included are Three Signed Photographs: a Black & White, 8 x 10" headshot of Enola Gay pilot Paul W.Tibbets decorated as a General, signed "Paul W. Tibbets"; an eerie Black & White, 8 x 10" image of the Enola Gay coming in for a twilight landing, also signed in full by pilot Tibbets; and a framed 5 x 7", Black & White photograph of nuclear physicist Edward Teller, a chief scientist at Los Alamos and an early advocate of atomic weapon development, seated on a desk in his laboratory.
