1839/6 N-1 R3+ Overdate 9 over 6 (or Inverted 9) VG10. Sharpness VF20 but lightly corroded with thin black scale covering the protected areas on the obverse. No verdigris, but there are a few scrapes in the field before the portrait plus several small nicks above ONE. Steel brown and light chocolate with dark olive in protected areas. Sharp but not especially attractive. LDS, Newcomb's state III, with a clear bisecting die crack across the obverse. The overdate feature is obvious.
