Livingston, Philip, Jr. -- Colonial New York Document Countersigned With New York Colonial Governor Sir Henry Moore (1716-78) Signer of the Declaration of Independence from New York. Partly-printed document signed "Ph: Livingston Junr." as Speaker for the New York Provincial House of Representatives and by New York Colonial Governor Sir Henry Moore ("H:Moore"), one page, on laid watermarked paper, 8¼ x 13", New York, Oct. 11, 1768. The Governor appoints Isaac Nroman "to be Captain of a Company of Militia Foot in a Regiment in Albany County, whereof Jacob Sternberg Esq. is Colonel." Lightly toned, some foxing; seal is intact with a partial stain. Both signatures are large and bold; Livingston's is underscored with a paraph. Estimate $700 - 900
