Very Impressive Majapahit Empire (Eastern Java) High Karat Yellow Gold (Better Than 18 K) Goblet with Lid, 130 grams. The Majapahit Empire, an Indianized kingdom based in Eastern Java, flourished in the 12th and 16th centuries and was considered a Golden Age for Hindu empires in the history of Indonesia. Offered is this beautiful, stemmed, high-karat gold goblet with lid. Goblet weighs approximately 130 grams and boasts strikingly impressive repoussé work, most especially with the lid with floral motifs within starshaped designs to the side of goblet with soft geometric repoussé. Goblet stands with lid just at 5¾" by 3" in diameter. In excellent condition. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
