Lot 663

1804 C-6 R2. AGS graded EF-45. Spiked Chin. Glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth, nearly choice surfaces except for a collection of tiny nicks inside the wreath plus a larger dull nick between the top leaves of the wreath. Very rare LDS, Manley state 10.5, Braig 7.5, with a large dimple void in the cud forming over the left side of the M in AMERICA. The Spiked Chin feature is clear. A very nice example of this very rare intermediate die state, clearly superior to the Ray Rouse example sold in our 9/08 sale (lot #162). Our grade is EF40 net VF35 for the reverse nicks.
Estimated Value $600 - 1,000.

Realized $690
