Lot 661

1835 N-3 R3 Head of 1834 EF40. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown with satiny flowline luster covering the fields and protected areas on both sides. Five points sharper but there is a light scratch from the nose to just below star 4 and a nick on the chin. Otherwise this piece is choice. LDS with several die cracks and tiny rim cud breaks on the obverse, the strongest rim cuds at star 2. An important example of this scarce variety, in the lower half of the condition census.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
