1804 C-7 R4 Spiked Chin ANACS graded EF40 Details, Corroded. A nicely detailed piece with good eye appeal, but it has a few defects. There are a couple old diagonal scratches through the ear reaching from the cheek to the hair, and a few small patches of greenish verdigris can be found on the reverse, particularly around STAT down to the H in HALF. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and free of notable marks. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown with slightly lighter steel brown toning on the devices. The date and legends are all strong, and the Spiked Chin feature is clear. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die cracks on the reverse. Our grade is VF30 sharpness net F15. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. Estimate Value $500 - UP
