Vintage, Antique, Faux Tortoise Shell, Celluloid Hair Combs. Two pair of outstanding turn of the century, faux tortoise shell (early celluloid) hair combs. The two larger combs are in the art nouveau style with foliate design and and additional beautiful gold scroll work details. Combs are left/right matches, are 4¼ x 2". Remarkably, this pair comes in its original but damaged pink box still with cotton pad. The other pair are smaller combs with grey metal scroll work. 1½ x 1½". Both pairs of combs are in excellent condition and true finds for devotees of vintage apparel. Estimate $50 - UP
