1773 Virginia Halfpenny. Period after "GEORGIVS". . Br-180. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Frosty mint red toning to bluish steel brown, about half the original color remaining. No marks or planchet flaws, only a few microscopic specks of darker toning on both sides, none notable or visible without the aid of a good glass. Nicely struck from dies that were free of rust. Variety with 7 harpstrings. A choice example, most likely from the Cohen Hoard mentioned earlier.
