Massey won an Academy Award for his 1940 role in Abe Lincoln in Illinois. 8 x 10 in. photo of actor and film producer John Houseman (1902-1988), born Jacques Haussmann. Original signature of photographer Herbert Mitchell at lower left. Houseman was known for his collaboration with Orson Welles. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Professor Charles Kingsfield in the 1973 film The Paper Chase. Charles Bickford (1891-1967) 11 x 14 in. photo signed in the plate by the photographer. Bickford was a character actor who was nominated three times for Best Supporting Actor.
