1804 C-1 R3 PCGS graded XF45. Glossy chocolate and olive brown with slightly lighter chocolate toning on the portrait. Satiny mint frost shows in protected areas on the reverse. No spots or stains, only tiny contact marks consistent with the grade. None of the marks is notable and this piece offers excellent eye appeal. Sharply struck EDS, Manley state 1.0. The always-present die crack on the reverse is light and the die line from the left top of the second T in STATES is clear. Our grade is EF40. An important example of this scarce variety, near the lower end of the condition census. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 7 finer, 2 in 50, 1 in 53, 3 in 55, 1 in 64 for the variety. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
