Lot 582
Blank Planchet, Stage I with Clip, AU50. Medium brown with a tiny curved planchet clip and rough, etched surfaces, apparently as manufactured. The rims are squared, not upset in preparation for striking. Probably intended for striking a Mature Head cent, 1843-1857, but in Stage I (rims not upset) it's difficult to tell. Weight 165.7 grains.
