The Gilded Age: Lady's 14K White Gold, Diamond and Ruby Lorngette and Sterling Silver Filigree Calling Card Case. Exquisite 19th century lady's accessories from America's first Gilded Age. 1.) Stunning lorgnette in 14K white gold with 7 diamonds totaling ¼ carats and 10 square rubies. The lorgnette was usually used as a piece of jewelry, rather than to enhance vision and know this piece will make a stunning pendant suspended from a long chain. Total gross weight is 25 grams, including the lenses 3½" when folded. Lenses have a scratch or two that any jeweler or vision lab could easily polish out. Wonderful vintage piece. 2.) Lady's antique silver filigree calling card case with small center area engraved Lydia L. Hunn 1846. In spectacular condition given it's 173 years old. Estimate Value $700 - UP
