Lot 578

1802 NC-1 R5+ VG10. Five points sharper but the obverse is covered with very fine roughness. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a dull vertical nick in the field over the hair ribbon. Mostly glossy dark steel brown and medium chocolate. EDS, Breen state I. The die crack that usually bisects the obverse is not present. Removed from an NGC slab graded VG10, NGC label #2038619-036 included, and it shows the attribution and Mervis provenance.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
