Lot 565

1801 S-220 R3 Error Fraction 1/000 VF25+. Sharpness VF35 but there are a few light pin scratches across the date, all blending perfectly into the natural toning. The only other notable mark is a dull nick hidden in the hair under the B in LIBERTY. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and attractive, void of any notable defects. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown and steel with frosty lighter brown and tan in protected areas, particularly on the reverse. LDS, Breen state VII. There are rim cud breaks under the date, another at AM, and a sunken retained cud break at the top of the A in STATES. The date and legends are clear and the 1/000 fraction error is obvious. An attractive example of a neat die state.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.
