1796 Draped Bust Dime. JR-6, Rarity-3. NGC graded AU-58. The "Hyphenated Date" variety, so-named because of the crack that runs horizontally through the first three digits. A colorful, coompletely original example with steel-blue toning scattered about in the protected areas around the devices and lettering. Very lightly worn from a short time in circulation. Small mark inside the L of LIBERTY, some thin, ancient obverse scratches, and some lamination streaks on the reverse. No adjustment marks on either side. Excellent eye appeal for both the grade and the date.
