Beautiful 24K yellow gold commemorative coin on the occasion of the first-ever papal visit to the Philippines by Pope Paul VI in 1970. The visit proved a triumphant and historic event marred by an assasination attempt on the Pope, who continued his tour in spite of two knife wounds. Coin is set in high karat bezel and is on a heavy, high carat round link gold chain. Total gross weight is an impressive 77¼ grams.
