The Beatles: Historic Original Photo of The Beatles with Harold Wilson Just Prior to being Appointed Prime Minister, Photographed by Richard Ellis. The Beatles: Original B&W news photos taken by photographer Richard Ellis in 1964. Originally copyrighted by Associated Newspapers Ltd., London who printed both the Daily Mail and The Evening News. These photos also appear in "The Beatles Diary" which photographer Ellis produced (one available in this auction)
Stamped on verso with Copyright information as well as original crop marks and information slug. Photo printed March 19, 1964 with information slug. 8 x 10" glossy in very fine condition with only minor evidence of handling. COA by Ellis.

What makes this photo of particular interest is in 1996 The Beatles recorded "Taxman" which was in protest to Wilsons's Labour government levying almost 90% in taxes on each of the four. This proved to be The Beatles first protest statement in a song. Estimated Value $700 - 1,500
