John F. Kennedy Collection: 12 Beautiful Oversized Memorial Medallions, Two German Breast Medals. Fine collection of John F. Kennedy memorial medallions, most boasting stunning artistry in not only the high relief busts of Kennedy but the artistry conveyed on verso as diverse as St. George Slaying the Dragon to the US Capitol. The largest is superb medal of John F. Kennedy #187 out of 1000, from the Greek sculptor Kotziamanis Nikolaus. Made in Portugal by Gravarte Studios in silver plated brass with gilt gold matte finish 4¾" in diameter. There are four bronze medals, all beautifully sculpted with the most unusual having four busts of Lincoln, Kennedy, Garfield and McKinley as the four fallen while serving in office. Others are fine commemorations in other metals including cupronickel. Another medallion of note is the large heavy French Inaugural Medal with Kennedy's "Ask not" quote on verso in French in original clamshell, red velvet box. There are also two scarce breast medals from Germany from 1974 and 1977 commemorating Kennedy and his impact in Germany. All in excellent condition and some very difficult to find.
