KISS: Platinum Commemoration for the Album, Cassette and CD "Animalize" to the Album's Producer Michael James Jackson by the RIAA. KISS: The immensely popular and spectacularly theatrical rock/metal band known for their comic-book styled costumes, makeup and stagecraft. But more importantly, KISS delivered rock music that proved a sensation beginning in the late 1970s and 1980s creating a fan base that has kept them touring to present day. In the 1980s Michael James Jackson was their producer and these gold and platinum records in this auction are from his personal collection. "Animalize" was released in 1984 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales of more than 1,000,000 albums, cassettes and compact discs with "Heaven's On Fire" by far the biggest single from the album.
