Grant, Ulysses S. -- A Presidential Pardon (1822-85) 18th President of the United States (1869-77). Partly-printed document signed "U.S. Grant" as President, one page, 10" x 7¾", Washington, Dec. 21, 1876. Grant authorizes and directs the Secretary of State "to affix the Seal of the United States to a Warrant for the pardon of Thomas W. Flannegan." Document is affixed at corners to a larger page, easily removed, else very fine condition with an exceptionally dark, bold signature. Estimate $900 - 1,200
