1928 World Series Ticket Game 3, NY Yankees Over St. Louis Cardinals in 4 Game Sweep, Great Batting by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. 1928 World Series ticket stub from Game 3 at Sportsman's Park, St. Louis, Bleachers, Number 0499. The 1928 World Series witnessed near historic batting by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Lou Gehrig drove in as many runs by himself as the entire St. Louis Cardinals team combined.

Condition: Good. Ticket smoothly torn at gate along perforation, having overall light toning and good color. Ticket was "folded in" so the break of the paper is most visible on verso which also has discoloration and rubs. Clearly it appears ticket was folded and stuck inside a wallet for a time. Nevertheless the facing side barely shows any evidence of the issues on the reverse and presents nicely. Ticket is 4½ x 2" and comes with a custom photo presentation that protected this rare stub for years. Estimated Value $400 - UP

Realized $467
