Lot 507

1829 C-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. CAC. Very attractive lustrous medium brown blending to darker olive brown near the dentils around the obverse. Looks choice mint state but there is a hint of friction on the highest points of the devices. The only marks are a few small spots of darker olive brown toning (not carbon) including one in the hair right of the ear lobe and another at the end of the wreath ribbon. MDS, Manley 2.0. The spike up from the top of the C in CENT is just a small lump. Our grade is AU58+, very close to MS60. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; 3 finer: 1 in 64+, 2 in 65. (PCGS # 35267) Value $400 - UP
Ex Don Valenziano 1983-The Widok Collection.
