Lot 5055
1855-O $1 Gold Indian. PCGS graded AU-55. This one has light circulation ticks and clean surfaces. A hint of luster in the lettering, and well preserved. All type II gold dollars are scarce, especially the mint marked coins. PCGS has graded 39 this high, with 57 graded higher. We note slight weakness on the 8 in the date, and at the top of the wreath. On balance, this is a nice coin for the grade.
