Ladies Elegant Vacheron & Constantin 18K Yellow Gold and Enamel Pendant Watch Purchased at Bailey, Banks & Biddle, 1946, w/Original Case. Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest watch manufacturer in continuous production for over 265 years and known for their artistry and advanced craftsmanship. Offered is such an example for the lady an 18K yellow gold open face pendant watch heavily accented in blue enamel with a discrete moire pattern within the enamel on the case back. Centered is a lovely 18 white gold and diamond design accented with tiny European cut diamonds that give a bit of sparkle. The matching 18K white gold necklace with blue enamel accents is centered with a .35 carat Old European cut diamond with J-K color that adds an elegant touch. Watch is manual wind and keeps time perfectly. The pull stem to set the watch needs service as it is presently very tight. 33.4 grams 28mm face, a 20" chain with pendant suspended 4" so the overall length is 14". Watch comes in its original case and is lettered in gold gilt "Presented to Mrs. Emory S. Land, By the Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock Company on the Occasion of Launching S.S. "Gronigen" July 27,1946.
