Frank Baum's series of Wizard of Oz books (14 total) remain popular today and the 1939 film an ageless classic of the 20th Century Cinema. Offered is the 1903 publication by The Bobbs-Merrill Company, Indianapolis USA in very good condition. Green publishers cloth with orange and green pastedown illustration covering front cover with title of "The Wizard of Oz". The spine has the printed title of The Wizard of Oz with lions head in center, Bobbs Merrill at base and plain paper endpapers. There are 208 pp with 8 full-color plates and other full-page black and white line illustrations. A must have for any level of collector. Condition inside front cover a gold star two very tiny small hand stamps of the name Skeeoch and then a much later placed very small sticker of Skeeoch's son. This book has remained in the original family since its publication. Otherwise this book is in remarkable condition.
