Rare Reel To Reel Tapes from 1976 at Sun Devil Stadium for Barbara Streisand's A STAR IS BORN. Santana, Peter Frampton, Montrose, LA Jets. In 1976 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, Jon Peters produced a concert to fill the stadium for crowd scenes and concert filming for Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. LA Jets performed early for 30 minutes, then Graham Central Station (not in this collection) Then filming the film's concert sequences with a long break by the group Santana who evidently were outstanding. The event closed with Peter Frampton and Montrose.
Two of the reels are marked Santana Part One and Part Two, One reel marked Part 2 Peter Frampton which has an extended version of Do You Feel Like I Do, one reel marked LA Jets and the 5th Montrose. Tapes have not been played but appear to be in excellent condition. Property of Gary LeMel former Warner Bros. Music Executive for years, and called the "Godfather of the Modern Soundtrack".
