1901 Pan American Exposition Official Prize Medal by Herman McNeil. Gilt Bronze, 63.5mm. Edge impressed "Gorham Co Bronze". Nude female allegory before a bison, both striding right, artist signed below a panel with the awardee as "The Mobile Company of America" (unknown if this was an earlier name for Mobil Oil); rev: Facing indians of North and South America sharing a peace pipe. Lovely classic design. Barest amount of handling on the highest points and a tiny rim bump at 8 o'clock rev., otherwise Nearly Mint State.
