Lot 48

GT-4, 1965, Astronaut Autograph Scarf and NASA Color Photo. An unusual lot that includes: 1) a NASA 8x10" color glossy photo with red ID number (#S-69-35514) of Dr. Robert Gilruth, MSC Director presenting one of the two hundred "Astronaut Autograph" scarves to their Majesties King Bedouin I and Queen Fabriola of Belgium with Mrs. Ed White, widow of astronaut Ed White standing alongside and 2) one of the actual scarves (32x32") as seen in the photo. The scarf, with alternating rows of red and blue astronaut autographs, was originally made for a fund raiser luncheon in honor of the Ed White Foundation. It is a collector's piece in its own right. Unusual and attractive.
Estimated Value $350 - 500.
Ex. the Ed White Family collection.
