Moxie Beverage Collection: Outstanding Vintage Original Coin Trays, Bottles, Signage and Serving Glass. Moxie is a brand of carbonated beverage that is among the first mass-produced soft drinks in the United States starting in 1876. It was market initially as "Moxie Nerve Food" and established in Massachusetts. It is still bottled today and is owned by the Coca-Cola Company. But in its heyday, Moxie was very well established, its name became part of the vernacular (which you can hear in movies of the time) to express gumption or courage and actually had baseball great, Ted Williams, endorsing the beverage in print advertising, and signage. 1.) Three tip trays, all different with two in very good or better condition and the third in fair condition due to paint. 2.) 1930's large 1 Pint bottle, The Moxie Co., Boston, Massachusetts with label 70% present. 3.) Rare filled bottle of Moxie with painted label in perfect condition with a bottle topper affixed. The signage has been glued on decades ago as evidenced on the back. But the signage is stout and colorful. 4) Later Moxie bottle from Doraville, Georgia. 6.) Colorful fan of 30s Moxie model, Lillian MacKenzie, printed with lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner on verso in very good condition. 7.) Pharmacy sign promoting Moxie is never Sticky Sweet in very fine condition. 8.) Moxie fountain glass "licensed only for serving) in near mint condition.
