Marilyn Monroe: Set of Three George Barris Single Weight, B&W Photographs, all from the SEVEN YEAR ITCH. One Signed by Barris on Verso. Marilyn Monroe starred in Billy Wilder's hilarious comedy THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH in 1955. The film was a huge hit earning 12 times its budget. But director Wilder was also a savvy promoter and invited limited press to the night time shoot outside the Trans-Lux 52nd Street Theater of the infamous subway grate scene months in advance. Photographer George Barris was at that shoot and captured the commotion, the theater and Marilyn's dress billowing up from the blast of air. Contrary to legend, much of the footage was used in the film as well as footage shot in a sound stage. 8 x 10" photos.

1.) Photo Marilyn Monroe and Tom Ewell taken on set behind cinematographer and production crew. George Barris signed on verso with Barris studio stamp.
2.) Photo of Marilyn Monroe on grate with director Billy Wilder all smiles, press mob at rear. Barris studio stamp on verso
3.) Photo of Marilyn Monroe all smiles and legs with director Billy Wilder very pleased and Tom Ewell looking on. Estimated Value $500 - 900
From the Collection of Mark Rofeh.
