Macrinus, 217-218 AD. AR Denarius, struck 217 AD. Good lot. Laureate and cuirassed bust of Macrinus right. Reverse: Jupiter left, holding thunderbolt. RIC 15. Also a scarce Denarius, c. 158-159 AD., of Antoninus Pius, 138-161 AD: Laureate head right / Temple of the Augusti; RIC 290a. Both well centered fresh strikes, the Pius on very thick flan. Lot of 2 coins. Macrinus Choice Very Fine, Pius better.
