Lot 46

1843 N-14 R6+ Petite Head, Small Ltrs PCGS Proof-63 Brown, CAC Approved. Attractive medium brown with a streak of darker brown toning across the reverse from K-1 to K-7. Generous traces of mellowed mint red show on both sides, especially on the reverse. No spots or contact marks and the fields are reflective, especially on the reverse. The only defect is the weak strike (which unfortunately tends to plague this proof-only variety). Otherwise this cent is absolutely choice. Our grade is Proof-60. Comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1, the only example graded BN at PCGS. Estimated Value $10,000 - UP
