Fisher, Red Cross Appeal. 1918. Size: 28 x 23 in. Soft wrinkles and nicks at top edge, bottom margin toned and with significant paper loss (all in margin), faint dampstaining in image, minor foxing and toning, one 11in. tear at bottom of image. With the exception of the long tear, the majority of the faults would be easily matted out. Overall, good to very good condition.
Fisher's beautiful Red Cross nurse issues an irresistible plea through her body language. The determined soldiers behind her, with their tattered Stars and Stripes are obviously under the protection of this angelic figure. This poster was printed more commonly with a caption and we are delighted to offer this version.
