1802/0 C-2 R3 Overdate 2 over 0, Reverse of 1803 VG8. Sharpness F12 but covered with very fine roughness on all but the highpoints of the devices, which are smooth. There are traces of shallow verdigris in some of the protected areas and the only notable contact mark is a light rim bruise just left of the date. Slightly glossy medium chocolate brown with darker olive brown toning in protected areas. Scarce EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die lines at IB in LIBERTY. The reverse is rotated 45 degrees clockwise relative to the normal head-to-foot orientation. The date and legends are complete and clear, and the overdate feature is obvious. Estimate Value $800 - UP
