Persia. Achaemenid Kings, c. 485-450 BC. Lot of Two Silver Sigloi. A good lot. Each with: Persian king or hero in kneeling-running pose, holding bow and spear / Irregular incuse punch. Cf. BMC pls. XXIV, 5, and XXV, 7; Carradice Type IIIB (one perhaps a link between IIIB groups A and B). Both well struck, with nearly complete devices on fairly broad flans. Each with single countermark. Lot of 2 coins. Very Fine to near Extremely Fine.
