Quaker "Progressive Friends Meetings, 1862-88". Bound in one volume, 26 complete reports of yearly Quaker meetings held in Longwood, Chester County, Pennsylvania, 9" x 6¼" x 2½" thick. Original quarter leather binding with gold-stamped title spine. Well over 500 pages. Penned inside front cover: "Gift of Mrs. Theodore Foulk 1934 No. 9995," with residue from a book plate, and stationer's stamp, else fine. Reports include a memorial message to President Lincoln, reports on "Slavery and the Rebellion," "The Rights of Women," and a eulogy on "The Assassination of President Lincoln." An important Pennsylvania Quaker reference.
