Phoenicia. Tyre, after 126 BC. AR Shekel-Tetradrachm (14.1 g), struck 45/46 AD. Laureate, skin-clad bust of Melkaart right. Reverse: Eagle standing left on prow, palm branch at shoulder, club and date in fields (year 171). BMC --; RPC 4671. Good centering, struck on usual undersize flan. Lightly toned and attractive for the late series. Issued in Jerusalem? Very Fine.
