1797 S-137 R2 F12. Glossy medium chocolate brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints. Slightly sharper where the designs were properly struck up but there are weak areas caused by debris on the die, especially on the hair ribbons (a common occurrence for this variety). The only notable mark is a small spot of greenish verdigris nestled under the R in LIBERTY. EDS, Breen state I, before any swelling or die cracks on the reverse. The date is strong.
