Lot 432

Early Archaic 10,500 - 9000 BC. Dalton Point. The Dalton Point, Late Paleo-Indian, Missouri is a variant of the classic Clovis Point, bi-facially worked with a hollow base rather than the fishtail outline. It is a feature of the Dalton culture which emerged across the American southwest at the end of the Paleo-Indian Period over 10,000 years ago. The present G-8 example was made from Burlington Chert and boasts good overall patination and mineralization, measuring 3¼ x 15/16 inches with a Baker COA. $700 - 1,000
Terry Allen Collection.
